How to Apply for an FSSAI License on FoSCoS
FSSAI applications are filed on the FoSCoS portal (foscos.fssai.gov.in): create an account, choose Basic Registration (Form A) or a State/Central License (Form B), fill in business and premises details, upload documents, pay the fee, and track approval online.

Step 3: Upload documents and pay the fee

Step 4: Verification and approval

Can I apply for FSSAI registration myself, or do I need a consultant?
You can apply yourself directly on FoSCoS — there's no legal requirement to use a consultant. Where people usually get stuck is picking the wrong category, formatting the layout plan incorrectly, or missing a document specific to their food type, all of which cause delays rather than being impossible to do solo.
