salaried professionals, freelancers, investors, and business owners across India rely on us for ITR filing.
"I changed jobs mid-year and had two Form 16s plus a small stock market loss to report. Shunya's CA sorted the whole thing out and even found I was better off under the old regime. Filed three days before the deadline."
"As a freelance designer I never knew if I should show actual expenses or go presumptive. My CA ran both, showed me the difference, and filed under 44ADA. Saved me more than the fee itself."
"I sold mutual funds and some stocks last year and had no idea how LTCG and STCG worked. Shunya reconciled everything against my broker statement and filed without a single notice."
Do I need to file ITR if my income is below the taxable limit?
Not always exempt. Filing is mandatory regardless of income if, in FY 2025-26, you deposited over ₹1 crore in current accounts, spent over ₹2 lakh on foreign travel, paid over ₹1 lakh in aggregate electricity bills, had TDS/TCS of ₹25,000 or more (₹50,000 for senior citizens), or hold foreign assets or signing authority abroad. You should also file to claim a refund or carry forward a loss.
What is the last date to file ITR for AY 2026-27, and what if I miss it?
The due date was 31 July 2026 for salaried and other non-business individuals (ITR-1/ITR-2), 31 August 2026 for business and professional income without a tax audit (ITR-3/ITR-4), and it is 21 November 2026 (extended from 31 October 2026) for accounts requiring a tax audit. If you've missed it, you can still file a belated return until 31 December 2026, but you'll pay a late fee under Section 234F — ₹5,000 if your income exceeds ₹5 lakh, ₹1,000 otherwise — plus interest on any unpaid tax, and you lose the right to carry forward business or capital losses.
Which ITR form applies to me?
Salaried individuals with simple income usually file ITR-1 or ITR-2. Investors with capital gains beyond a small LTCG carve-out file ITR-2, or ITR-3 if they also have business or F&O income. Freelancers and professionals under presumptive taxation (Section 44ADA) or small businesses under 44AD file ITR-4. We confirm the right form for you after reviewing your income sources — no need to figure it out yourself.
I have capital gains from stocks or mutual funds — which plan do I need?
That falls under our Capital Gains & Investments plan. We reconcile your broker or CAMS/KFintech capital gains statement, classify each gain correctly as short-term or long-term, and file under ITR-2 (or ITR-3 if you also have F&O or business income).
I changed jobs this year and have multiple Form 16s — can you handle that?
Yes. We aggregate your salary across all employers, reconcile combined TDS against your Form 26AS and AIS, and make sure deductions like the standard deduction and 80C aren't accidentally claimed twice — a common mistake when income spans more than one Form 16.
I'm an NRI — can you file my Indian ITR?
Yes, if you have India-sourced or India-accrued income above the basic exemption limit. NRI filings typically use ITR-2 (or ITR-3 with business income) and often involve DTAA relief. Since every NRI case is different, book a ₹999 consultation first and we'll scope the right plan and fee for your situation.
What does the fee include?
CA review of your documents, reconciliation against Form 26AS/AIS, a comparison of your tax liability under the old and new regimes so we file whichever is lower, preparation and filing of your return on the income tax portal, e-verification, and the acknowledgment (ITR-V) and computation sheet for your records.
share your details above and a CA will reach out within the hour.
