Producer Company Registration Package at Shunya: What the ₹1,999 Fee Covers and What It Does Not
Shunya's professional fee for producer company registration is ₹1,999. Per the service page, a practising CA verifies your documents, checks the name, helps with DSC and DIN, prepares the SPICe+ filing under Part IXA, files it on the MCA portal and handles officer queries. The DSC issuer's charge, government fees and other third-party costs are billed separately.
What does the ₹1,999 producer company registration package include?
The ₹1,999 is Shunya's professional fee for taking a producer company from your member details to a Certificate of Incorporation, handled by a practising Chartered Accountant. It covers the work below, as described on the producer company registration page.
Say Manjula, who is organising 25 millet farmers in Karnataka into a producer company, wants to know what she gets for the professional fee before she pays it. The table lists each item and whether the fee covers it.
| Item | Covered by the ₹1,999? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| CA review of member documents | Yes | A practising Chartered Accountant reviews every filing |
| Company name availability check | Yes | Done before the name is proposed |
| DSC and DIN for directors | Help with obtaining them | The DSC issuer's own charge is billed separately |
| MOA and AOA with objects tied to primary produce | Yes | Objects are prepared under Part IXA |
| SPICe+ filing with AGILE-PRO-S | Yes | The MCA form, with PAN and TAN applications |
| Handling officer queries | Yes | Raised by the Registrar after filing |
| Certificate of Incorporation | Yes | Delivered digitally |
| Government fees and state stamp duty | No, billed separately | Your CA confirms the amounts on your callback |
| DSC issuer's charge and other third-party costs | No, billed separately | Your CA walks you through them |
SPICe+ is the Simplified Proforma for Incorporating Company Electronically Plus, the MCA web form used to incorporate a company. DSC is the Digital Signature Certificate used to sign it, and DIN is the Director Identification Number. AGILE-PRO-S is the linked form that applies for PAN and TAN, among other registrations.
What is billed separately from the professional fee?
The DSC issuer's charge, government fees, state stamp duty and any other third-party or statutory costs are billed separately from Shunya's fee. Your CA walks you through them on your callback, before you commit to anything beyond the professional fee.
What we can say generally, as of September 2026, from the MCA's own FAQs dated 2020 and secondary sources, not a fresh check of the MCA portal:
- MCA filing fee. It was nil for companies with authorised capital up to ₹15 lakh, so many small producer companies pay no MCA filing fee. Confirm the current rule for your authorised capital.
- State stamp duty. It varies by state and depends on your capital and articles. We do not quote a figure; your CA confirms it for your state before you pay.
For the full breakdown of what each cost is and how the total is put together, read our guide to producer company registration cost and fees.
What is the difference between a producer company filing and a routine company filing?
A producer company filing carries an extra requirement: a certificate from the district agriculture officer, or an equivalent authority, that the subscribers are engaged in farming or a related activity and earn their livelihood from it. This certificate is the distinctive attachment in a producer-company application.
The MCA lists three specific grounds on which it rejects a producer-company application. The certificate may be missing, illegible, unsigned, unstamped or not on the department's letterhead. The objects may not match the objects allowed for a producer company. Or the memorandum and articles may provide for debentures or preference shares, which a producer company cannot issue.
Obtaining the certificate is usually the slow step, and it depends on the office that issues it, not on your CA. The practical advice is to start that request first. The live service page does not list the certificate among Shunya's deliverables, so ask your CA on the callback how your group should arrange it. Our guide to documents required for producer company registration covers the full list.

Start producer company registration →How do you start, and what are the steps?
You can request a free callback with your name and phone number, and a CA will call you, or you can pay the professional fee online through the Start now button. Either way, the work then follows four steps.
- Share your details. Tell Shunya your producer members, objects and proposed name.
- CA verifies and prepares. The CA checks name availability, helps with DSC and DIN for directors and prepares the SPICe+ filing under Part IXA.
- Filing on the MCA portal. SPICe+ is filed with AGILE-PRO-S for PAN and TAN, and any officer query is handled on your behalf.
- Certificate delivered. You receive the Certificate of Incorporation, ready for opening a bank account.
We do not promise a turnaround for producer companies. The law caps the Registrar's decision at 30 days from receipt of documents, and the total time depends on the certificate, the name and any query. For the process in detail, see producer company registration process and timeline. You can also WhatsApp or call +91 80809 18797.
What should you ask any provider before paying for producer company registration?
Ask every provider, including us, exactly what the quoted fee covers, what is billed separately and who does the work. A clear answer to six questions tells you most of what you need.
- Is the fee professional-only, and which government, stamp duty and DSC charges come on top?
- Does a practising Chartered Accountant review the filing, or only a coordinator?
- Does the provider prepare objects under the producer-company provisions, or reuse a private limited template?
- Who arranges the district agriculture officer's certificate, and what happens if it is delayed?
- Who handles Registrar queries or rejections, and is that included?
- What is the current source for any claim about grants or the Section 80PA tax deduction? Treat any promise of one as a warning, since the deduction covered only assessment years 2019-20 to 2024-25.
Ask for the answers in writing, so that you can compare providers on the same footing rather than on the headline figure alone.
Be careful with any provider quoting a minimum paid-up capital of ₹5 lakh for a producer company. We did not find one in the producer-company provisions.
Should you use a CA or file it yourself?
You can file the application yourself on the MCA portal, and a well-organised group with time can manage it. A CA is worth the professional fee when the objects, documents and certificate have to be right the first time.
The application is made through the same SPICe+ form used for other companies, but a producer company adds its own tests: members who qualify as producers, objects drafted under the producer-company provisions, no preference shares or debentures in the articles, and the district certificate. A rejection costs time and, generally, state stamp duty that has already been paid may not come back.
Before deciding on the structure at all, compare it with the alternatives in our guide to producer company vs cooperative society vs private limited. Time is the other cost to count. A group that files itself has to learn the portal, arrange DSCs for every director, draft objects and answer any Registrar query, often while also running a farm or a trading season. A CA does that routine work daily, so the professional fee mainly buys back your group's time and lowers the chance of a rework loop. It does not buy speed from the government offices that issue certificates, and no provider controls those. If you are still sure, request the free callback and let a CA review your documents before you pay anything.
What does Shunya's producer company professional fee cover?
Per the service page, a practising CA verifies documents, checks the name, helps with DSC and DIN, prepares the SPICe+ filing under Part IXA, files it on the MCA portal, handles officer queries and delivers the Certificate of Incorporation. Government fees and third-party costs are billed separately.
Is the DSC charge included in the professional fee?
No. The DSC issuer's charge, government fees, stamp duty and other third-party or statutory costs are billed separately from the professional fee. Shunya's CA helps you obtain a DSC if you do not have one and walks you through these costs on your callback.
How do I start producer company registration with Shunya?
Request a free callback on the producer company registration page with your name and phone number, and a CA will call you. You can instead pay the professional fee online with Start now. You can also WhatsApp or call +91 80809 18797.
Does the fee include the district agriculture officer's certificate?
The service page does not list it among the deliverables. The certificate comes from the district agriculture officer or equivalent authority and is a key document in a producer-company application. Ask your CA on the callback how your group should arrange it.
How long does producer company registration take?
The law says the Registrar must decide within 30 days of receiving the documents, but total time also depends on your certificate, name approval and any query. Shunya does not promise a fixed turnaround for producer companies. Your CA can outline a realistic sequence on your callback.
Can a producer company be registered without a CA?
Yes, you can file through the MCA portal yourself. The risk is rejection on producer-specific grounds such as a missing certificate, objects that do not fit or preference shares in the articles. A CA-reviewed filing reduces that risk, though it cannot remove delay caused by third-party offices.
